Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya organised Essay Competition in Hindi on the precious occasion of "HINDI DIWAS" which is celebrated on 14th September every year theme of the event being "Importance of Hindi Language" .The Constituent Assembly declared Hindi, written in Devanagari script, to be India’s official language on September 14, 1949. Later, the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, seeing the importance of this historic day, decided to celebrate 14 September every year as Hindi Diwas.
